About the product
Activated inorganic flux type 3.1.1 A according to DIN EN 29454-1 (DIN 8511 F-SW12). Stannol Soldering Water No. 1V is an activated inorganic flux for soldering and tinning metal goods made of copper, iron, steel and brass. The flux residues have a corrosive effect. They are water-soluble and can be removed from smooth surfaces with water or washing solution.
APPLICATION
For easily solderable metals, a thin application of soldering fluid is often sufficient; for surfaces that are difficult to solder, it is recommended to clean or mechanically remove the oxide surface beforehand by sanding. The application method depends on the application; brushes, drops and dipping are suitable. Heating can be carried out with a plunger, a flame or by dipping in a hot solder bath. When dipping, make sure that the workpiece is not immersed in the hot solder bath too quickly so that the flux does not evaporate explosively.
