Metcal automatic soldering tip cleaner

With optimum care, the service life of a soldering tip can be extended considerably. When a soldering tip is inserted through the cleaning opening, a metal detector automatically activates the two brass rollers and gently cleans the soldering tip. There is no need for laborious manual activation. A splash guard in front of the two brass brushes prevents solder residue from contaminating circuit boards and the workplace.
