PTTC tweezer tips are the standard range of tweezers for the Metcal MX-500, MX-5000 and MX-5200 series soldering systems.
All tweezer cassettes are available in 3 temperature ranges: 600 series nominal 330 ˚C, 700 series nominal 390 ˚C and 800 series nominal 450 ˚C.The temperature/series is indicated by the first digit after the hyphen in the part number, e.g. 700 series PTTC-7xx and 800 series PTTC-8xx. Metcal recommends the 700 series for most applications. The 800 series for high temperature and thermally demanding applications.
They can be used with leaded and lead-free solder. Metcal's SmartHeat® technology automatically adjusts the power levels during each soldering process.
