STTC-836P - Soldering cartridge, chisel shape (ø x L) 2.5 x 6 mm, 800 series

STTC, SMTC soldering tip cartridges are the standard soldering tip program for the Metcal soldering systems of the MX-500, MX-5200 and MX-5200 series.

All cartridges are available in 3 temperature ranges:

• 600 series nominal 330 ˚C
• 700 series nominal 390 ˚C
• 800 series nominal 450 ˚C

The temperature/series is indicated by the first digit after the hyphen in the part number, e.g. 600 series is STTC/SMTC-0xxx, 700 series is STTC/SMTC-1xxx and 800 series is STTC/SMTC-8xxx. Metcal recommends the 700 series for most applications. The 600 series for low load or low temperature applications and the 800 series for high temperature and thermally demanding applications. They can be used with leaded and lead-free solder. Metcal's SmartHeat® technology automatically adjusts the power levels for each soldering process.
