General information PVDF: excellent mechanical strength and toughness, smooth surface, high abrasion resistance, heat stabilized and heat resistant (continuous service temperature up to 150°C). Resistant to UV and nuclear radiation (sterilization). Excellent chemical resistance to most aggressive substances, mineral and organic acids, hydrocarbons, alcohols and halogenated solvents. Resistant to hydrofluoric acid (40% concentration, 90°C), nitric acid (50% concentration, 90°C), hydrochloric acid (36% concentration, 90°C). High purity, cleanroom and medical technology approved, low extraction value. ESD-safe material (avoidance of powder attraction, sparking, ignition sources). Typical applications are the handling of components that are very sensitive to scratches and soiling, cleaning and etching processes.
